Martha Sarah Hunter Hulbert married Charles Edwin King on 26 February, 1881 at St. Paul's, Lisson Grove, Marylebone. He was 24 and worked as a Warhouse man, both gave the address, 109 Lisson Grove. Her father Edward Grundy Hulbert's profession was Hack Booker? (transcription problem) and his father William King was a Yeoman. The marriage was witnessed by Jess Higginbottom and Martha Hulbert. A child was baptised on 4th September, 1881 to Charles Edwin and Sarah Martha King, at St. Mary, Bryanston Square, Westminster, father's occupation being Warehouse man. The couple living at 16 Lidford Road. The child Edwin Hulbert had been born on 27 July, 1881. The dates speak for themselves.A child Edwin Hulbert is registered for death in 1885 aged 3 in West Derby, Lancashire. Could this be the same child? The fact that in 1911 the couple declared 5 children born and 5 died, makes for sad reading, none of their children showing on census or surviving to adulthood.
